Mr. Steve Horton brings 28 years of educational experience to White County High School, 19 of them in leadership roles. His first five years in education were in Arizona, where he started his career coaching students in the classroom, on the playing surface, and in life. He has worked at every level, elementary, middle, and high school, and taught many different content areas along the way, but for 23 of those 28 years he has been on a high school campus. Coach Horton is thankful for the opportunity to lead WCHS. He is here to build a winning culture, where our students are challenged to compete both inside and outside of the classroom. Off campus, he has been married to Cornelia for 28 years. Their oldest son Trey is a Mechanical Engineer living in New Hampshire with his fiancé. Their youngest son Carson is pursuing Pre-Med at Georgia College and State University. Coach Horton is proud to be a Warrior, where his door is always open. He looks forward to getting to know every student, parent, and community member who walks through it.
