When I was in high school, I was always sorta terrified of the media specialist. Not that she was mean; I think I was just socially awkward and she seemed intimidating. Fast forward seven years and I find myself working in a secondary library setting - I vowed that my students wouldn't feel like that when they interacted with me.

My library is for everyone! I foster this environment by featuring books with diverse characters and by providing a warm & welcoming environment when you visit.
