Welcome to the Warrior Battalion - 1SG Pitts and I are honored to have the opportunity to coach, teach and mentor your sons and daughters. This is a great program with a lot of history and tradition. Our primary mission is to guide your sons and daughters to becoming better citizens. We are here to help guide them through school and onto achieving their goals (graduation / college or technical school / career opportunities). We work hand in hand with the teachers, counselors, administrators, and parents to ensure the highest success for each young warrior.
JROTC is not boot camp so we will never belittle our warriors or tolerate anyone that does. However, they will be required to do pushups from time to time to get refocused.
We encourage our warriors to get involved with the many extracurricular activities we offer – Drill, Color Guard, Honor Guard, Rifle, Academic competitions, and Raider teams. We do have a requirement that each cadet perform one Color Guard event each semester. We will also do several community service projects throughout the year. There will be field trips to University of North Georgia Pine Valley Training area in Dahlonega, Ga., as well as field trips to professional sporting events (Atlanta Hawks / Braves) and other trips to locations within the area and community. We will finish our year with our JROTC Award ceremony and our JROTC Ball.
We provide the opportunity for our warriors to attend Summer Camp, JROTC Cadet Leadership Challenge (JCLC) and have many other opportunities to experience things they may have never experienced. All events are highly encouraged to build confidence and comradery among our Cadets and within our unit.
